My art class is a good opportunity for your child to develop creative thinking through a diverse use of materials that include; drawing, water colors, oil pastels, soft pastels, acrylic paints , masks, clay and paper mache.
Art classes are a great instrument to help children express themselves and to appreciate beauty.
I have been teaching art out of my home for the last 18 years and also worked as a volunteer art teacher at Centennial elementary school. Prior to that, I worked as a volunteer art teacher in the Poway School District (Art Program) in San Diego. My background is mainly in water colors, although we work with a variety of media in the art classes.
I have always loved art and color and love to share it with children.
I like to work with the ideas that your child brings to the class, their interests so they can express themselves, such as drawing sea life, cars, flowers, etc...because I know that makes a huge difference in them wanting to do their very own work.
